Belle's Corner- February 2016

Excitement filled the air as residents, staff, and guests gathered at The Landmark Center for the Super Bowl 50, party. Ice cold bottled drinks were provided to all those in attendance in anticipation of the game. Kickoff was to begin at 6:30 and the warm and inviting living room was packed with excitement as the residents pulled for their favorite team. Although most were fans of the Carolina Panthers, a couple of Bronco fans made their presence known as the coin was tossed and the game began. A few bets were discussed, just for fun, as Landmark Catering arrived with fresh baked biscuits filled with country ham; BBQ meatballs, always a favorite, potato chips and their specialty BLT dip! As the game continued, Panther fans soon realized their hope of winning was futile, as the Broncos quickly took a strong lead. The zany commercials and remaining food reminded the saddened Panther fans of a great time with friends, a time to let loose, and share memories of Super Bowls in their past. Special thanks to Landmark Administrator, Chuck Flynn, for making the “big game” even BIGGER for the residents, family, and friends. (Written by: Daniel Quesenberry, Landmark Activities)
